One-way or return: which works out better?

On a one-way trip the coach returns empty after dropping you off, and that empty leg is part of the cost. This is why a one-way price is not half a return price — it usually lands at a higher proportion. If you are staying one or two days at the destination, holding the coach there is often the cheaper option: the waiting fee stays below the cost of two empty legs. The longer the stay, the more the balance flips and two separate runs make more sense. Time and safety planning on long-haul programmes

In Turkey many intercity routes push against the nine-hour legal driving limit in a single stage. On corridors such as Istanbul-Antalya, Izmir-Trabzon or Ankara-Mardin, total travel time including breaks reaches 11-13 hours. On those routes we suggest one of two approaches: assign a second driver and complete the journey without interruption, or split it into two stages with an overnight stop in an intermediate city. Which fits depends on the group — a corporate team that must arrive early in the morning is better served by a second driver, while a tour group that wants to travel rested is better served by two stages. We show the cost of both scenarios in the quote.

Why is a one-way hire not half the price of a return?

Because the coach returns empty to base after dropping you off, and that leg still incurs fuel, driver and toll costs. Pricing has to account for the empty return. If we happen to have another group travelling in the opposite direction on the same corridor and date, we can share that empty-leg burden and offer a better price — which is why telling us your date early helps.

Can we pick up passengers at intermediate stops?

Yes. Pick-ups and drop-offs can be planned at towns or junctions along the route. These stops must be stated at quotation stage, because they affect both total duration and the U-ETDS passenger declaration. Stops that require leaving the main route may add a distance charge, which is shown in the quote in advance.

Can we use the coach on a daily basis at the destination?

Yes, and it is one of the most commonly chosen arrangements. The coach and driver stay in the destination city, serve you on a daily-use package throughout the programme, and bring the group back on the final day. In this model the driver's accommodation is a separate item; arranging it at the group's own hotel lowers the cost noticeably.
